What We Believe...

It is our mission to provide children with a Christ-centered, academically excellent education.

Our Christian School and Church are part of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We believe and teach:

  • That the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, and reveals His plan of love and salvation.
  • That God is Triune - three Persons, one eternal God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • That sin - separation from God through disobedience - places all people under God's eternal judgment.
  • That through the redeeming death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and through Him only, the curse and threat of sin is completely removed and salvation is possible.
  • That salvation is a gift of God offered at the initiative of His love, not based on the merit of people.
  • That this gift of salvation is offered to all who, by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, receive Him as Savior and Lord.

Although we are sensitive to the beliefs of many cultures and denominations, we will not compromise our own beliefs and curriculum as it applies to the Christian education of our students.

Our Curriculum is designed to make Christ known as revealed in the Bible and to provide opportunities to integrate faith into daily living.

Our freshmen all gain understanding of Biblical times, interpreting the Bible, and using the Bible for devotional purposes in the Old Testament and New Testament courses.

The knowledge, skills and expereinces that are gained in the freshman year are further developed in the sophomore year with courses that deal with church history from the founding of the church at Pentecost through modern times.

Juniors and Seniors take the base of knowledge from freshman and sophomore courses and move past course knowledge into practical applications of faith into life. This is accomplished though a series of courses that are offered to the juniors and seniors.

  • Faith and Practice
  • Death and Dying
  • African American Religious Experience
  • World’s Religions in Focus
  • Last Word
  • Understanding and Embracing Christianity

Students are also encouraged to live their faith in their own churches by taking a fieldservice course. In this course, students are given credit for working in their own churches as ushers, youth group leaders, Sunday School teachers, musicians and any other opportunities the church has for active participation.
