The first step to become a Luther South student is taking the entrance exam. Your acceptance to Luther South is based on your test scores.

What do I need to bring?
Please bring two #2 lead pencils and a calculator for the exam. The application is also due at this time.

Do I need any money?
Yes, the entrance exam fee is $40.00 for incoming Freshman and $20.00 for incoming Jr. High students unless you have pre-paid.

What time does the test begin?
You should be at Luther South by 8:30 a.m. to register.

Do I need to register before the test?
There is no pre-registration required for the entrance exam, however you can pre-register if you wish at the Open House.

How long does the test take?
The test typically takes 3 hours.

When should I receive my results?
You will typically receive your results about 4 to 6 weeks after the test.

Can I receive a scholarship for receiving high scores on my entrance exam?
Yes, if you take the first three scheduled entrance exams you can receive scholarships up to $1,000. The highest composite score on the entrance exam is 100%.

Can Junior High Students take the entrance exam?
Only if they are applying to our Junior High program. All incoming junior high students must take the entrance exam. The cost is $20.00. Incoming sixth graders will not take the Explore test, however they must take a basic skills examination.
